First American Financial secures new chief technology officer

First American Financial has named a new chief technology officer.

Taking up the position is Jody Mulkey (pictured), who will be in charge of leading First American’s corporate product development team. The seasoned technology executive will oversee the development and enhancement of the company’s enterprise products across multiple divisions.

“We’re committed to developing innovative digital products that improve the customer experience by reducing risk and streamlining processes,” said First American CEO Ken DeGiorgio. “Jody’s experience building high-performance teams and scaling digital technology platforms make him ideally suited for this new role, which will further sharpen our focus on product development and long-term growth.”

Mulkey has over two decades of experience and most recently served as chief technology officer of healthcare startup GoodRx. Earlier in his career, he held executive roles at Ticketmaster, Shopzilla, and Aspiration.com.

“With its industry-leading data assets and proprietary technologies, First American is at the forefront of real estate innovation,” Mulkey said. “I’m looking forward to accelerating the company’s product development efforts in ways that enhance the process of buying and selling real estate.”
