Former Americash CEO kickstarts new mortgage company

The former CEO of Americash and a team of veteran executives in the home finance sector have announced the launch of their second mortgage company, Certified Rate.

Certified Rate currently operates in California and Arizona with plans to expand to other states in the West. Paul Giangrande, former CEO of Americash, Greg Amaya, and Bryce Williams are the founding members of the new venture. Together, they have more than 50 years of experience in the lending industry.

Giangrande said that Certified Rate came about because of their observations that there is an opportunity to "significantly improve customer experience and trust" in their field.

"There are inefficiencies in how mortgage industries operate," he said. "which result in customer frustration and unnecessarily high rates."

Certified Rate's "low-cost model" allows it to offer lower interest rates and fund refinances and new home loans in less than 30 days, according to the press release. The company was incorporated in 2018 and was licensed by the CA Department of Business Oversight.
