Fintech firm Figure Technologies adds two execs to its leadership team

Figure Technologies, a consumer finance company, has appointed Ashley Harris as general counsel and Jakub Jurek as chief data officer.

The firm recently announced its partnership with Caliber Homes, which enables the mortgage lender to originate loans through its flagship blockchain platform Provenance.

With her previous experience in the mortgage industry, Harris will support Figure to further grow its expanding list of industry partners using Provenance.

Harris joined the firm as deputy general counsel in May 2018. Before Figure, she served as general counsel and chief compliance officer at Clara, an online mortgage lending startup. Harris was also executive director at JP Morgan in New York.

Jurek most recently worked at investment firm Wealthfront as vice president of data science. He also served as chief executive officer and chief information officer of Wealthfront Strategies, an investment advisory subsidiary of Wealthfront.

"Jakub's incredible experience in finance, investment advising, and deep academic research credentials position him to drive smart growth and provide strategic guidance for Figure," said Mike Cagney, co-founder and chief executive officer at Figure. "Ashley has consistently impressed all of us in her time as deputy general counsel. Her industry knowledge and deep grasp of the legal terrain in which we operate will enable us to move quickly and with certainty as we continue to strengthen our position at the vanguard of finance industry innovation."
