Nationwide Mortgage Bankers appoints new chief operating officer

Nationwide Mortgage Bankers (NMB) has tapped seasoned mortgage leader Nate Hernandez (pictured right) as chief operating officer.

Hernandez has more than 20 years of mortgage industry experience ranging from originating and operations to sales leadership. As COO, he will oversee all aspects of daily operations while working with other NMB leaders to help the company become one of the fastest-growing mortgage companies in the nation.

“Nate’s level of experience in sales, operations, and leadership is a combination that will help us continue to accelerate and support building a world-class sales force that meets the needs of our customers and referral partners,” said Richard Steinberg, founder and chairman of the NMB board.

Hernandez made the jump to NMB from Franklin Loan Center, where he was senior vice president of national sales. Before that, he served as the national sales director for CMG Financial. Hernandez is also the co-owner of Key Financial Decision, a mortgage broker shop.

“Nate’s track record of success in leadership and getting the job done aligns with that value,” said NMB president Jodi Hall. “When others say they’ll do something, we actually do it. Adding Nate to our team of doers further strengthens our ability to lead with innovation and efficiency while collaborating across all levels of the organization to grow together.”
