Two of the most recognized names in the mortgage industry have announced that they will air new commercials during one of the largest sporting events of the year.

United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) and Rocket Mortgage will each debut new commercials during this weekend’s Super Bowl LV clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

UWM’s ad, entitled, “The Perfect Match,” will point borrowers to its FindAMortgageBroker.com site to help them “connect with a mortgage broker who can match them with the perfect mortgage.”

“We believe we’re the one genuine partner of mortgage brokers nationwide,” said Sarah DeCiantis, chief marketing officer of UWM. “We thought this ad would not only be relatable and entertaining given the pandemic’s acceleration of online dating, but also educate consumers that brokers are their number one resource for finding a mortgage that fits their financial situation.”

Meanwhile, Rocket Mortgage will debut two commercials that feature comedian Tracy Morgan, along with “an action star, athletes, and influencers demonstrating why it's important to use Rocket Mortgage in the homebuying process.”

“One ad will feature the innovative Rocket Mortgage app, while the other will showcase the crucial role that independent mortgage brokers play in the mortgage financing world, serving as trusted advisors and leaders in their communities,” the company said in the statement.

“COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the way people think about their homes," said Jay Farner, chief executive officer of Rocket Mortgage. "After nearly a year of many people living, working, exercising and learning from home, the pandemic has brought new meaning and significance to the place where we live. With our 2021 Super Bowl spots, we are bringing awareness to the importance of home and demonstrating how we continue to enable more Americans to achieve the dream of homeownership – whether through our digital solutions, our skilled mortgage bankers or mortgage brokers in local communities across the country.”
