Lender hires industry veteran as part of expansion
Service First Mortgage has hired top loan officer Matthew Valentine to help grow its Home Orbit Lending brand in North Carolina.
Founded in 1997, Service First is a full-service mortgage lender in Texas and Arizona. The company said Valentine’s addition to its team will help build up the Home Orbit brand as it continues to enter new markets in North Carolina.
Valentine is based in Raleigh and brings over a decade of experience to Home Orbit. He most recently served as a senior loan officer at Cornerstone Home Lending. Prior to that, he spent nearly four years as a loan officer at DNJ Gateway Mortgage.
“I’m excited about Matt leading the charge in North Carolina as we continue to grow and serve homeowners in these new communities,” Home Orbit Lending CEO Shawn Broussard said in a release.

“I love seeing first-time homebuyers that are Raleigh born and raised,” Valentine said. “Getting to guide them through the process, learn their goals, and see their excitement is really fun. I am really looking forward to building this brand in the Raleigh market and helping people get into homes.”
