PRMI hires industry veteran for reverse mortgage division

Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. (PRMI) has appointed Steven Sless to serve as its new mortgage division manager.

In this role, Sless will be responsible for opening PRMI’s first consumer-direct retail branch that deals solely with reverse mortgages in Maryland.

Sless will help the lender’s efforts toward expanding its reverse mortgage business, according to a report from HousingWire. He will work alongside George Morales, PRMI’s HECM business development manager, to teach traditional loan originators working at PRMI’s 270 branches nationwide about reverse mortgages. The two will also guide originators to help engage their referral partners about the product. In addition, Sless will develop consumer-targeted marketing campaigns about reverse mortgage for PRMI.

Sless previously worked for US Mortgage Corporation, where he opened a reverse mortgage division and created a curriculum to educate originators about the product.
