Mortgage leaders shine in Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For list

Five mortgage and real estate companies have earned a coveted spot on Fortune magazine and Great Place To Work’s 2024 list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For.

The list includes Capital One (15th), Rocket Companies (26th), First American Financial Corporation (51st), Veterans United Home Loans (69th), and New American Funding (75th).

Great Place To Work determines its Best Companies list through a rigorous process involving confidential employee feedback and analysis of over 1.3 million US employees from certified companies.

Companies were evaluated based on their ability to create an exceptional employee experience that transcends various demographics and job roles.

“When people ask about what sets the best companies apart from their competitors, it’s one key ingredient: trust,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “When employees trust their leaders, their colleagues, and the organization, they become empowered to reach their full potential. High-trust workplaces will be faster to innovate, more resilient in the face of disruption, and more likely to succeed in today’s rapidly changing, AI-integrating world.”

This is Capital One’s 13th consecutive time being named to the list, this year coming in at no. 15.

“Earning a spot on the list is an important indicator of overall company performance. Companies on the 100 Best list consistently outperform the market and exceed their competitors on key business measures like retention and innovation,” the firm said in a statement.

First American Financial – a provider of title, settlement, and real estate transaction solutions – is celebrating its ninth consecutive year on the prestigious list.

“Nine straight years ranked among the nation’s best workplaces is a recognition of our enduring culture,” First American CEO Ken DeGiorgio said. “This award is also a reflection of the caliber of our people, who are committed to delivering more speed and certainty to our customer’s real estate transactions."
