Lincoln Financial Group names mortgage, real estate head

Lincoln Financial Group has announced that it appointed John Foley senior vice president and head of mortgage and real estate.

Foley will lead the company’s commercial real estate and mortgage team, which includes leadership and management oversight for origination, closing, loan servicing, portfolio construction, and risk management of commercial mortgage loans, as well as other real estate strategies such as mezzanine loans and real estate-focused limited partnerships.

Foley brings more than 25 years of commercial mortgage, real estate, and finance experience. Before joining Lincoln Financial, he was senior vice president for mortgage loans and real estate for Mutual of Omaha.

Earlier in his career, Foley served as a vice president with Voya Investment Management and held senior leadership roles at Broadview Financial and Business Men’s Assurance Company of America, among other firms.

“John is an accomplished professional with a track record of driving strong business results,” said Ellen Cooper, executive vice president and chief investment officer at Lincoln Financial. “He not only has a deep understanding of commercial mortgage and real estate, but he is also a proven leader who will help successfully execute on our strategic vision.”
