Gateway opens third mortgage hub in Tennessee

Gateway Mortgage has opened a new mortgage center in Tennessee to meet increased demand from local communities.

The new hub in Maryville, Tenn., brings the number of its mortgage centers in the state to three. Gateway has more than 115 locations nationwide, with over 1,000 employees.

“We’re excited to grow our presence further by adding our newest branch in Maryville,” Gateway sales manager Sam Hearl said in a release. “This team has years of experience, fantastic leadership, and a great culture that others will want to be a part of. Gateway has a strong reputation for closing loans on time, which means new homeowners can have the peace of mind knowing they can start enjoying their new home as planned.”

The expansion comes two months after Gateway’s parent company, Gateway First Bank, said it would acquire a branch of Regent Bank. The acquisition is expected to close in August.

“It made sense for Gateway to expand services to Bartlesville through an already established presence,” Gateway CEO Scott Gesell said back in May. “Charlie Pilkington, Regent Bank’s market leader, will partner with Chris to offer a full array of services to the market. Charlie and his team are very well respected in Bartlesville, and we look forward to them joining the Gateway team.”
