FirstBank’s mortgage division deploys digital mortgage platform

Consumer Direct Mortgage, the mortgage division of FirstBank, has announced the launch of a new mortgage application platform for its customers.

The company teamed up with Tavant, a provider of AI-powered digital lending products. Additionally, Consumer Direct utilized Tavant’s FinXperience point-of-sale tool to develop and deploy the lending platform.

The platform, according to Consumer Direct Mortgage, aims to provide rate and cost transparency, as well as enhance customer experience, while speeding up the loan process.

“Tavant has been an outstanding technology partner in turning our vision into a reality,” Jamie Thornton, director of online mortgage lending at FirstBank, said. “During our due diligence, they were the only provider that was able to adapt their product to our unique business model and in turn, build a platform that was tailored to our specific workflow and business processes.”

Rob Henger, director of mortgage banking at FirstBank, also said that they are planning to use FinXperience in other FirstBank verticals.

“Launching a new, customer-focused platform provides FirstBank a significant competitive advantage in an increasingly fierce market,” said Tavant Chief Revenue Officer Hassan Rashid. “FinXperience empowers the Bank with a design-centric approach and enables a seamless, device-agnostic experience to meet evolving customer expectations. This initiative will accelerate FirstBank’s digital transformation journey and further improve the overall home buying experience for their customers while optimizing existing business processes and functions.”
