Fairway Independent Mortgage wins top workplace award

Fairway Independent Mortgage was announced as the national winner of the 2022 Top Workplaces USA award issued by Energage, a company that gives credible employer recognition.

This is the second consecutive year the lender has topped the list for companies with more than 2,500 employees. Award recipients were chosen based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous survey distributed by Energage. The survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.

“We are beyond humbled to be recognized as the best place to work for the second year in a row,” said Steve Jacobson, founder and CEO of Fairway Independent Mortgage. “We value our employees greatly at Fairway, so we provide them with a supportive culture and work environment where they can thrive and grow their careers. We see culture as a day-to-day discipline. We take nothing for granted as we never know what is around the corner.”

Since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, Fairway has rolled out several employee wellness initiatives that focus on their safety and health. Fairway distributed 5,828 exercise machines to employees with more than a year of service, enabling them to work out at home. The company also offers virtual fitness classes for its team members and their families, as well as parenting webinars and extensive mental health resources.

“During this very challenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations, as well as a sign of resiliency and strong business performance,” said Energage CEO Eric Rubino. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draw on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business.”
