VA lender appoints former state governor as advisor

Former Maryland Governor Bob Ehrlich has joined the board of advisors at growing VA mortgage lender NewDay USA.

“Our advisory board plays an active role in support of our steadfast mission of helping veterans and their families achieve the American dream of homeownership and the financial security they deserve,” said Rob Posner, CEO of NewDay USA. “Governor Ehrlich’s understanding of the legislative and regulatory process, as well as his executive leadership as governor, make him an outstanding addition to our distinguished board and to NewDay’s mission of serving veteran families.”

Ehrlich is currently a partner at law firm King & Spalding and is the ninth member of the NewDay board of advisors.

He says that he supports the lender’s mission to help military veterans and their families to achieve their homeownership dreams.

“Too often, after sacrificing everything they had in order to protect our freedoms, veterans and servicemembers have struggled to fulfill the American Dream. I look forward to working with NewDay USA’s board and the executive team to create new ways to help our underserved veteran community,” he said.
