A real estate agency which has already seen success in the UK and Australia is preparing for a US launch and will hire hundreds of agents in the coming months.

Purplebricks is a hybrid agency which combines local real estate professionals with cutting edge technology. Sellers pay a flat fee when the firm is instructed rather than if their home sells.

“Purplebricks is launching in the US, with a distinct offering, which aims to offer a better deal for customers and a compelling opportunity for highly skilled, experienced Local Real Estate Experts,” said Purplebricks US CEO Eric Eckardt. “Our plans are progressing well and we remain on-course to launch in the second half of 2017.”

California’s hot housing market has been chosen as the firm’s first foray into the US and real estate agents joining the firm will have exclusive zip-code areas and benefit from lead-generation marketing including TV spots.

“We are looking to recruit the very best real estate agents who want to be highly successful and who want to spend their time helping and supporting customers rather than prospecting for leads,” said Purplebricks founder and group CEO Michael Bruce. “We will provide them with a stimulating customer centric culture and market leading support to help them build scalable, profitable businesses.”

The California launch is due to be followed by a ‘controlled roll-out’ to other states as required. Agents interested in finding out more can email [email protected]
