Colliers International has partnered with technology investment platform Techstars in the search for the future of real estate.

The global firm has launched ‘Colliers Proptech Accelerator powered by Techstars’ which will identify and mentor startups with disruptive technologies for the real estate industry.

“Disruptive changes in technology, evolving demographics, fierce global competition and increased connectivity are factors impacting all industries,” said Dylan Taylor, Colliers President & COO. “And the commercial real estate industry is no exception. Colliers sees this as an opportunity and is committed to being the most enterprising company in our industry by developing innovative and value enhancing services for our clients and professionals.”

The new first-of-kind initiative is open to disruptors worldwide and those that are selected will be invited to spend 13 weeks in an intensive program at Colliers’ global headquarters in Toronto.

“The Colliers Proptech Accelerator powered by Techstars will provide us with early insight into companies and technologies that have the potential to deliver value enhancing strategies to our clients and better arming our professionals to execute,” said Jay Hennick, Colliers Chairman & CEO.

Applications will be open for the first intake next month.
