One chief exits, president steps in

Mr. Cooper Group has announced that Xome chief executive officer (CEO) Mike Rawls will retire effective June 30, 2025.
Chris Marshall (pictured), former vice chairman and president at Mr. Cooper, will assume leadership of the real estate marketplace platform.
"Since taking on the role of CEO in 2020, Mike has skillfully led Xome to become the powerhouse real estate marketplace it is today, with tremendous opportunity for growth as we move into 2025," said chairman and CEO Jay Bray.
Bray also shared Rawls’ leadership and spirit over his 25 years with the Mr. Cooper Group team, wishing him all the best.
Who is Chris Marshall?
Chris Marshall brings extensive experience in financial services, mortgage operations, and technology to his new role as CEO of Xome.
During his tenure as vice chairman and president of the group, the company achieved growth and was noted for its financial strength. He will maintain his position as chairman for Sagent while leading Xome’s operations.
"Chris is an industry expert when it comes to driving revenue growth and building partnerships. I am confident that Xome will unlock new avenues for growth and bolster its market position under Chris’s leadership,” Bray added.
Looking forward to helping the team maintain its momentum as Xome expands, Marshall expressed enthusiasm about his new role: "The Xome team has built an innovative, state-of-the-art real estate platform and fostered strong relationships with leading industry players.”
Rawls and Marshall will work together over the coming months to facilitate a smooth leadership transition.
