The couple will work to expand the lender’s footprint across Texas and New Mexico
New American Funding has announced the appointments of Eric and Leslie Bergen as area production manager and area sales manager, respectively. The Bergens, who are husband and wife, will be based in El Paso. They will be responsible for expanding the company’s footprint across Texas and New Mexico through increasing loan production, hiring new loan originators and opening new branches.
Leslie will coach loan originators, while Eric will oversee back-end operations, the company said.

The Bergens are El Paso natives. They most recently worked at an independent lender where Eric was vice president and Leslie worked as a top-producing vice president, closing 400 loans and funding $80 million in volume last year.
“Not only do they have a wealth of mortgage expertise and in-market knowledge, but they’re skilled in training leaders,” said Tania Guzman New American Funding area manager.
