The exec assumes new responsibilities as she continues to support Freddie's growth
Freddie Mac Multifamily has expanded the responsibilities of company veteran Ling Xu, appointing her as vice president of multifamily investment and portfolio management.
Since joining Freddie Mac in 2002, Xu has continued to assume expanded roles, most recently as senior director of multifamily portfolio strategy and execution. In her new position, she will add market risk and capital strategy to her current responsibilities. Xu currently oversees the company's multifamily portfolio strategy, hedging, and balance sheet management.
Additionally, she will work on the development and expansion of Freddie's multifamily credit risk transfer executions, including reinsurance, whole loan investment funds, PCs, and structured credit risk notes.
"Ling is a strong leader and has been an important part of ensuring Freddie Mac Multifamily capital market offerings and risk management continues to set the standard for our industry," said Robert Koontz, senior vice president of Freddie Mac Multifamily Capital Markets. Xu has served as director of debt capital markets at American Capital before coming back to the GSE in 2009.
