Curbio pushes national expansion to San Antonio

Curbio has entered the San Antonio market, bringing its pre-sale renovation services to homeowners in the metro.

The San Antonio launch is the latest addition to the markets Curbio currently serves, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, the District of Columbia and surrounding suburbs of Maryland and Virginia, Baltimore, Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, Southern Florida, Orlando, Tampa, and Phoenix.

The home-flipping company offers financing options to sellers who want to make home improvements that increase the sale price. Curbio renovates the home and handles the entire renovation process through its digital platform.

"Delaying payment until closing is the easy part," said co-founder and CEO Rick Rudman. "The difficult part – and the part that will truly deliver real value to homeowners – is transforming the renovation process to align with the needs of home sellers.  We've built a team with the pre-sale renovation expertise required to actually increase the value of the home.  And agents love that Curbio takes care of everything from beginning to end, always focused on quality, speed-to-market, and return-on-investment."

Curbio also partners with residential real estate agents within its areas of operation. The firm has worked with real estate brokerages across the country, including Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, BHHS Ebby Halliday, BHGRE Gary Greene, Fox & Roach, JPAR Houston - The Sears Group, and PenFed Realty.

"Most contractors set pricing on the fly, based on gut feeling, homeowner budget, or even how busy they are that month," Rudman said. "If homeowners get three proposals, they often come in with three wildly different prices. With Curbio, all customers get the same fair pricing, based on national pricing data from similar projects, adjusted for local markets."
