CoreLogic inks agreement to buy Australian real estate tech firm Plezzel

CoreLogic has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Plezzel, an Australian boutique proptech firm.

Hot on the heels of its acquisition of Roostify, CoreLogic has agreed to purchase Plezzel as part of its expansion across the real estate technology space. Founded in 2011, Plezzel provides digital advertising and marketing support and an inquiry response platform for real estate directors, agents and property marketing teams across Australia.

“The proposed acquisition of Plezzel, once complete, is expected to bolster CoreLogic’s considerable investment designed to support the real estate industry through the use of data and sophisticated technology solutions,” said CoreLogic International CEO Lisa Claes. “Our focus is unequivocally on the future and sourcing the best opportunities to foster success and enable our real estate partners to engage, advertise and convert leads.”

“This is an exciting development for Plezzel, and, following completion, we look forward to working with CoreLogic to develop innovative digital products to meet the needs of agents in our industry,” said Plezzel co-founder Cecille McCutcheon.

Co-founder Greg McCutcheon added, “With significant industry experience, our team is excited to help real estate agents generate more listings and appraisals and sell property more effectively.”

CoreLogic’s proposed acquisition of Plezzel is expected to close in early 2023. The deal is subject to certain conditions, including regulatory approval.
