Quicken Loans moves to downtown Phoenix
After establishing its presence in the Grand Canyon State in Scottsdale, Quicken Loans is moving to downtown Phoenix, according to a news release.

The retail mortgage lender is expanding to the heart of downtown Phoenix, covering 150,000 square feet on six floors of the One North Central Building. The new office space will house more than 1,100 full-time employees and is expected to finish next year.

“Over the past 10 years, we have built our Arizona presence from the ground-up, and we now have a hard-working team that is passionate about both their clients and community,” said Quicken Loans CEO Jay Farner. “Having an office in an urban center is incredibly important to us as a company. It is our firm belief that vibrant downtown areas not only attract the best talent, but help companies innovate and flourish.”

Quicken Loans began in Arizona in 2007 with 90 team members and has since grown to more than 1,100 team members.

The new office space will be planned and designed by Detroit-based design company dPOP! and will have an open style type of interior with an amenities-centric landscape.

“When talking to team members, it’s clear that they are energized by being in a high-tech corridor that spurs creativity and innovation,” Farner said. “Quicken Loans wouldn’t be what it is now if we were still in the suburbs of Detroit, and moving to downtown Phoenix will provide an energy boost to both our office and the city itself.”

Its downtown Phoenix office joins Quicken Loans’ presence in two other downtown locations – in its hometown of Detroit and in Cleveland.
