Nationwide Mortgage Bankers launches platform for Spanish speakers

Nationwide Mortgage Bankers, an independent mortgage lender, has launched a mortgage platform designed for Spanish-speaking homebuyers.

Of the 41 million native Spanish speakers in the United States, more than 16 million (40.1%) may have trouble reading information written in English, according to a 2017 survey by the Census Bureau.

To overcome this language barrier, NMB created the Americasa platform to provide the Latino community with information regarding the mortgage options available to them. Americasa offers educational resources in Spanish language for potential borrowers.

"We feel this market is highly underserved and look to be the go-to source for Spanish-speaking organizations," said Richard Steinberg, founder and chairman of the board at NMB.
