loanDepot has announced plans to hire 3,000 new employees by the end of the year.

“During this challenging time, our priority is to keep our employees safe, and to provide necessary essential services to the housing industry and American families,” said loanDepot founder and CEO Anthony Hsieh. “In order to do this, we fully transitioned our 7,000-strong workforce to remote several weeks ago. The smooth and orderly way in which our team transitioned from in-office to remote has allowed us to continue to fulfill the purpose we have as an industry and company, while ensuring we uphold the commitment we have to our employees, our customers and their loved ones.”

Hsieh said that because loanDepot was able transition to a remote model efficiently, it has been able to continue to serve customers “at record levels.”

“Thanks to the value we provide to homeowners across the nation, we are in a position to scale and welcome 3,000 talented individuals to team loanDepot by year’s end,” he said.

The company will hold a virtual job fair April 23 at 6 p.m. EST via a LinkedIn Live event on it’s the loanDepot LinkedIn channel.

“We’re in a new norm – but it’s a norm that we were prepared for,” Hsieh said. “Our team has created a process by which candidates can apply, onboard and train in an entirely virtual way. Our upcoming LinkedIn Live virtual job fair event is just one example of the way in which we have utilized technology to ensure that, while we are all at home, we are all still connected and able to perform critical functions for business health and growth, like sourcing and hiring new candidates, exceptionally well.”

loanDepot also recently donated $1 million to COVID-19 relief efforts.

“I believe it is our responsibility to do everything we can to take care of our house,” Hsieh said. “And right now, ‘our house’ encompasses taking care of those across the country who need us: our employees, future team members, homeowners and partners who can so greatly benefit from our service.”
