Gateway Mortgage maintains growth momentum

Gateway Mortgage, a Gateway First Bank division, has opened three new mortgage centers in the first six months of 2023.

The company has announced new mortgage centers in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri, bringing the number of its US locations to 115 mortgage hubs. Gateway is licensed in 43 states and has over 1,000 employees nationwide.

“Gateway remains a growth-oriented company in select markets across the country,” Gateway CEO Scott Gesell said in the company’s news release. “We are committed to the families and communities we serve. Our momentum is a testament to our team members’ persistent focus on connecting with people to impact their lives positively.”

“Mortgage loans have been a mainstay of Gateway since 2000, and we have navigated several up and down cycles,” said Steven Plaisance, president of mortgage banking for Gateway. “We will always be open to new talent and market opportunities, as the pursuit of homeownership will never go away.”

Gateway signed a deal to buy the banking center of Regent Bank in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, back in June. In a statement, Gateway said the acquisition will allow the company to expand its deposit and banking services in the market.

“It made sense for Gateway to expand services to Bartlesville through an already established presence,” Gessell said.
