Vacasa makes the move into vacation home sales

The largest vacation homes rental company has launched a network of real estate agents to move into vacation home sales.

Vacasa manages around 9,000 vacation homes with around 1 million guests each year. It says that almost 5% of its homeowners sell their vacation properties.

The stats make the move into vacation home sales an attractive one for the firm.

“Over the past nine years, we’ve built strong relationships with our homeowners and guests, offering them a trusted, full-service vacation rental experience,” said Eric Breon, founder and CEO of Vacasa. “We’re always looking at ways to provide more value to our customers. If they’re ready to buy or sell, connecting them to the industry’s top real estate agents is a natural next step in the Vacasa experience.”

The network is branded Vacasa Real Estate and offers agents exclusive access to its network of guests and homeowners who are interested in buying or selling vacation homes. The firm also provides data and marketing tools.

Currently it has partnered with more than 80 leading brokerages including Berkshire Hathaway, Century21, Coldwell Banker, Keller Williams, RE/MAX and Sotheby’s.

“So far, we’ve seen tremendous interest in the program and we look forward to adding even more top-tier agents as we expand our network,” said Shaun Greer, senior director of real estate and a licensed agent. “Operating at the center of the vacation rental industry enables us to build fantastic partnerships that deliver even more value to customers.”
