Cherry Creek leader promoted to VP of risk management

Cherry Creek Mortgage has announced the promotion of Brian Carlsen (pictured), formerly senior credit policy manager, to vice president of risk management.

In his new role, Carlsen will help develop the comprehensive risk control framework of Cherry Creek and its affiliated companies, including the recently launched Found It Home Loans unit.

The 28-year mortgage veteran joined Cherry Creek in 2013. Carlsen was heavily involved in opening the lender’s Pacific Northwest wholesale division.He also served as an area production manager in the western states and supported Cherry Creek’s compliance department.
