Compensation, benefits, and incentives not only drive company growth they bolster employee satisfaction levels. Not surprisingly, most of the companies on our list offer everything from standard to generous benefits and incentives. And, for employees, these extras were key to rating their employer as a Top Mortgage Workplace.
All the companies offer medical, dental, and vision. A majority offer long life and disability coverage. And less than half provide long-term care. Meanwhile 80% offer benefit eligibility after 30 days or longer.
Retirement plans, mostly 401(k)s with matching, are more readily available the larger the company. “We offer both traditional 401(k) and Roth 404(k) contributions,” says one employee. “There is a 25% match on contributions up to a max of 8%.”
Smaller companies are more likely to have bonuses, which are based on referrals and given during specific time periods, such as monthly, quarterly, or yearly. “Bonuses are given for employee referrals, customer referrals and typically end of the year,” says one employee. “The company has also given bonuses in time of high volume as a show of appreciation.”
Meanwhile, wellness offerings include fitness centers, fitness challenges, healthy lunch programs, and even an Apple Watch fitness program. “We hold regular fitness challenges with prizes to encourage exercise,” says one employee. “Our company has provided healthy lunches for employees since the pandemic began.”
And luxuries like sabbaticals and loyalty leave are mostly unheard of on the list.
