Peoples State Bank picks Calyx Path to originate its mortgages

Mortgage software provider Calyx Software announced that Wisconsin-based Peoples State Bank had selected Calyx Path as its loan origination software.

The bank currently uses the cloud-based software to originate fixed-rate mortgages, adjustable-rate mortgages, as well as Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) loans, FHA/VA loans, and more. Additionally, it will also use Calyx Path for home equity lines of credit (HELOCs).

“During the selection process, we were looking for a web-based application that we could access remotely; was seamlessly integrated with our partners; and would give us the ability to go completely digital,” said Jeffrey Saxton, vice president of mortgage lending at Peoples State Bank. “Path checked all of those boxes, but what really sold us was their people. They took the time to come out to our office, get to know our bank, and help build our process. They made us feel less like a sales prospect and more like a partner.”

"Launching new technology can be challenging, especially for community banks that may not have unlimited IT resources," said Bob Dougherty, executive vice president of business development at Calyx Software. "We’re happy to provide Peoples State Bank with a dedicated account team to help ensure they are successful from development to implementation and beyond.”
