Freddie Mac has appointed industry veteran Mark Bloom to its board of directors.
Bloom currently serves as the global chief technology officer and a member of the management board of Aegon, a multinational life insurance, pensions, and asset management company.
Sara Mathew, non-executive chair of Freddie Mac’s board of directors, said that Bloom would play a leadership role on Freddie Mac’s compensation and human capital and risk committees.
“By virtue of his long career at the intersection of finance, technology, and risk management, Mark Bloom brings valuable expertise to Freddie Mac’s board,” Matthew said. “We welcome this highly qualified new member.”
From 2007 to 2016, Bloom held various positions at Citigroup, including managing director and head of global consumer technology delivery services. Before that, Bloom served as senior vice president at Chase Home Financial Technology and was senior vice president of eBusiness solutions at CACI International.
