FirstClose names new chief technology officer

Mortgage tech company FirstClose has announced the appointment of Pat Downing as chief technical officer. In that role, Downing will oversee the development of all technical efforts at FirstClose.

Before joining FirstClose, Downing served as the CTO of Mozido, a global mobile financial services company. He brings 20 years of technology operations experience to his new role, with expertise in overseeing IT operations, customer success and software engineering, and customer support services.

“With his wide range of experience in IT work and CTO responsibilities, there is no doubt that Pat will be a great asset to FirstClose as we continue to perfect existing, and develop new, technology solutions for the mortgage industry,” said Tedd Smith, co-founder and CEO of FirstClose.
