Few tickets left for 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards

Excellence awardees are locked in and mortgage professionals are being urged to book before seats run out

Few tickets left for 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards

Tables for the 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs) are almost gone, with just over seven weeks remaining until the ceremony at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney's Grand Ballroom on Friday, 16 October.

Brokers, brokerages, lenders and BDMs who want a seat at the industry's biggest night are being encouraged to reserve a table through the official AMA registration page before availability closes.

Presented by Mortgage Professional Australia and Australian Broker, the ‘Oscars of the broking industry’ will open with networking drinks ahead of the formal awards program and a three-course dinner, with entertainment from Australian singer and actress Kate Ceberano, DJ Em on the decks, and TV presenter Andrew Daddo serving as master of ceremonies.

Westpac returns as official event partner this year, with Brighten and Liberty Financial as premium award partners – all of whom will have a presence on the night alongside the judging panel, which includes Helen Avis of Specialist Mortgage, Cory Bannister of La Trobe Financial, Adam Brown of NAB, and Anja Pannek, chief executive of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).

Sponsor Q&A: Sean O’Malley, AMP Bank

AMP Bank is sponsoring this year’s Brokerage of the Year – Regional awards, and group executive Sean O'Malley is encouraging mortgage experts to join in on the fun.

What do you enjoy most about being an awards sponsor at the AMAs?

The best part is celebrating the people who make this industry what it is. We work with brokers every day, so it's a great opportunity to recognise the professionalism, dedication and customer focus that helps so many Australians achieve their property goals.

Why are awards nights like the AMAs important for the broking and mortgage finance community?

Brokers provide vitally important support to Australians embarking on one of the most important financial decisions in their lives. Nights like the AMAs give the industry a chance to pause and celebrate that important contribution. They recognise excellence, showcase innovation and highlight the important role brokers play in our communities.

What tend to be the highlights on the night on the AMAs?

Seeing brokers recognised by their peers is always a highlight. There are some incredible stories behind the finalists and winners, and it's inspiring to celebrate the people and businesses driving the industry forward. It's also a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues and partners from across the broker community.

What have been the highlights for AMP’s broker channel over the past 12 months, and what can we expect next?

Brokers aren't just a distribution partner for AMP Bank, they're central to how we grow and serve customers. That's why we'll continue investing in technology, products and service improvements that help brokers deliver better outcomes for their customers and grow their businesses.

Over the past 12 months we've continued to innovate, including the launch of our new AMP Bank Broker Platform, a first-of-its-kind solution designed with brokers to deliver a faster, simpler and more transparent lending experience. The platform reflects the importance of brokers to our business, with more than 95% of our home lending originating through the channel.

What would you like to say to this year’s nominees?

Congratulations. Being nominated is recognition of the trust you've built with your customers and the impact you've made over the past year. The broker industry is built on hardworking, passionate professionals, and every finalist should be incredibly proud of what they've achieved. Best of luck on the night.
