Plaza Home Mortgage adds tech, marketing execs

Plaza Home Mortgage, a wholesale and correspondent lender, has appointed James Pathman as chief information officer and SVP and Philip Yee as chief marketing officer, a newly created role.

The company said the additions will help it enhance the customer experience of its wholesale and correspondent clients.

In his role as CIO, Pathman will be responsible for strategic planning, oversight, and continuous improvement of Plaza’s technology efforts. He will also oversee the project management and business continuity areas of the business.

Pathman joined Plaza with more than 20 years of IT leadership experience within the mortgage and finance industry. He most recently served as CEO at Data Resolution. Pathman also previously held executive IT positions at Lehman Brothers and national lenders such as H&R Block Mortgage and Option One Mortgage.

As the company’s first CMO, Yee will develop its marketing and communications strategies, roll out new loan programs, and grow Plaza’s brand awareness in the marketplace. He brings more than two decades of marketing experience in the financial industry to the role. He previously held executive marketing positions at Ellie Mae, CoreLogic, Wells Fargo, Radian, Chase, and Bank of America.

“We believe investing in technology and marketing will allow us to expand our capabilities and programs, which, in turn, will help us better serve our clients,” Plaza President and CEO Kevin Parra said. “We’re thrilled to have James and Philip on our team and look forward to all that these talented executives will help us accomplish.”
