Industry veterans launch commercial real estate finance platform

Industry veterans Joseph Iacono and Nik Chillar have co-founded Crescit Capital Strategies, a commercial real estate finance platform that will offer debt products across the capital stack.

Crescit Capital aims to provide borrowers with the benefits of a full-service financing source while maintaining long-term relationships. In addition to providing services for all of its borrowers’ financing needs, the company will also retain the ongoing servicing of its loans. The company’s offering will span the entire spectrum of commercial real estate debt products, including construction, transitional, and term financing across all property types.

Iacono will serve as CEO of the company. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate debt capital markets and structured finance industries, ranging from direct origination and securitization to distressed debt acquisitions and loan workouts.

Chillar will serve as head of banking. With 20 years of experience in commercial real estate loan origination, underwriting, securitization, and trading, Chillar will work on providing a comprehensive offering of financing products to clients as well as build upon relationships with borrowers, mortgage brokers, and other strategic partners.

Crescit Capital has also named Kim Diamond as head of structuring and credit and Edmund Taylor as COO.

With 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate structured finance and debt capital markets industries, Diamond will support the company’s investment credit risk analysis capabilities. Taylor also brings 30 years of senior COO experience in the financial services industry, including roles in the commercial real estate and structured finance markets.
