HouseCanary names Jeff Somers as president and COO

Valuation and appraisal tech firm HouseCanary has appointed Jeff Somers as president and chief operating officer.

In his new role, Somers will lead the company’s operations and help its efforts towards scaling its roster of institutional investor clients and further develop its offering for consumers under the ComeHome brand.

Somers brings to the role his experience working from firms in the technology industry, including eBay, Microsoft, Zillow, and Amazon. Before HouseCanary, he was the president at Insureon, a digital insurance platform.

“Jeff brings a unique perspective and skill set to the HouseCanary leadership team, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with him,” said Jeremy Sicklick, chief executive officer and co-founder of HouseCanary. “His experience in product development, as well as his background working with global marketplaces, will be key as we scale the company and expand into new areas.”

“HouseCanary is a proven disruptor that is bringing greater transparency and predictability into the residential real estate market,” said Somers. “The company has enterprise-grade technology, great customers and a very robust product roadmap. I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and help HouseCanary grow as it embarks into an exciting new chapter.”
