Will $159 million mansion finally find a buyer?

Florida home will go to auction next month

Will $159 million mansion finally find a buyer?

A Florida mansion will be auctioned in November having failed to find a buyer while under construction and once completed.

While it was under construction, Le Palais Royal, now re-named Playa Vista Isle, in Hillsboro Beach, Florida, was the most expensive home listed in the US with a $139 million price tag back in 2014.

When it didn’t sell, the owner pulled it from the market, carried out more work to complete the home, and re-listed it at an even more eyewatering $159 million this year.

TopRealEstateDeals.com reports that the home, modeled after the Palace of Versailles in France, will now go to auction with no reserve on November 12th.

When it sells, the buyer will have a 58,000 square foot home with a 30 subterranean garage and 11 bedrooms and 22 baths including three master suites and a presidential room with a plunge pool on its outdoor terrace.

Playtime could involve the 18-seat IMAX theater, putting green, swimming pool, white sand beach; or the multipurpose room located on the lower level for parties and get-togethers.

There’s plenty of room for guests too, the Millionaire’s Mile home is set on 5+ acres with almost 500 feet of private beachfront. The adjacent 2+ acre north lot (part of the total 5+ acres) may be left as-is or used for future development, and can accommodate an additional structure, garden area or recreational facility.

ONE Sotheby’s International Realty and Concierge Auctions are co-handling the sale.
