Class Appraisal eyes innovation for valuation industry

A fast-growing appraisals and valuation company has announced a key appointment to help drive innovation in the sector.

Class Appraisals has hired Scot Rose as chief innovation officer. He was most recently President, Chief Valuation Officer at Valuation Connect, (formally Urban Lending Solutions), where he spent 8 years. Previously he spent five years at Fiserv.

“We are thrilled to have Scot join our company as a senior executive,” Class Appraisal President John Fraas said. “Scot brings a great deal of strategic insight and thought leadership to our team and his addition will allow us to continue our commitment to innovate the valuation process while delivering world-class quality and service to our clients.”

The Troy, Michigan-based firm has partnered with over 400 mortgage lenders and over 6,000 of the highest performing residential appraisers in the country; and was recently acquired by private equity firm Narrow Gauge Capital.

Rose is a certified residential appraiser and his career includes experience in servicing, secondary markets, origination and appraisal management.

“The customer centric focus, strong leadership team, market position and vision for the future of our industry is what led me to join Class,” he said.
