Regional VP takes charge of three states

loanDepot has appointed former MLB pitcher Bart Evans as regional vice president - overseeing operations in Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
Evans will report to senior vice president of production, Paul Ramos.
Sharing his excitement about Bart’s talents as a former baseball player, executive vice president John Bianch acknowledged him as a competitive and collaborative player, making him a great addition to the team.
"With Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee experiencing accelerated population growth over the past decade, loanDepot is well-positioned to meet the needs of families in these core markets - and Bart's leadership, growth mindset, and dedication to his community make him the perfect fit to take our business to the next level,” he furthered.
Evans brings two decades of mortgage industry experience to the role, having held key sales leadership positions at Movement Mortgage and Summit Funding.
His appointment comes at a strategic time when population growth in these states is driving increased new home construction sales.
"Individuals and families in these markets deserve proper community-focused lending, and Evans' leadership is well-suited to deliver the localized support they need. He's a highly experienced leader who will make an important impact," said LDI Mortgage president Jeff Walsh.
Bart was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 9th round of the 1992 MLB draft. According to Wikipedia, Bart pitched eight career games with an ERA of 2.00.
