Guild Mortgage has appointed Adam O’Daniel (pictured) as senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

In his new role, O’Daniel will spearhead the lender’s marketing and communication strategies. The San Diego-headquartered company said the appointment is part of Guild’s strategic efforts to expand its brand presence and support its growth initiatives.

O’Daniel, who has garnered 15 years of experience in the mortgage and financial services industries, joined Guild from Open Mortgage, where he held the position of senior vice president of marketing. Before that, he spent six years at Movement Mortgage, most recently as director of marketing and communications. His career, which began in journalism as a financial editor and business reporter, has seen him evolve into a respected figure in the mortgage industry.
