CMG Home Loans appoints new leader for Idaho and Utah markets

CMG Home Loans, the retail division of CMG Financial, has recruited Valerie Goebel (pictured) to help advance the company’s efforts in the Idaho and Utah markets as area sales manager.

The company said Goebel has a deep familiarity with the Boise area, which she will bring to her new role.

“We are very excited to welcome Valerie to CMG’s western division,” Western divisional VP Chip Larson said in a statement. “Valerie’s reputation as a leader in the industry, along with the respect she garners from her peers, was a major consideration in recruiting Valerie to CMG. We are looking forward to partnering with Valerie to continue our strong history of growth in our retail channel.”

Before joining CMG Home Loans, Goebel dedicated 16 years of her career to assisting homeowners and buyers in Idaho while working at KeyBank. In her previous roles at KeyBank, Goebel progressed from loan officer to branch manager and then to several leadership positions, including area retail leader, Idaho district mortgage market manager, and private bank home lending leader in the Northwest Region.

Goebel’s appointment was in line with CMG’s expansion efforts. In the past few months, the retail lender onboarded a regional sales manager for its Arizona team and an area sales manager to help grow its footprint in Southern Indiana.

“My excitement to join CMG came from the interactions I had with the leadership team,” said Goebel. “The forward-thinking mentality each leader shared and sincerity in their desire to help every team member succeed. It was contagious. Every team member lives by ‘Every Customer, Every Time. No Exceptions, No Excuses.’”
