The Mortgage Business (TMB) has activated its online case processing service and has plans to launch a completely new product range in May.

The HBOS subsidiary said improved turnaround speed would result from the new service and it includes e-mail updates, as well as product quotes and a flexible mortgage illustrator. The service is a white-labelled version of the Halifax system.

Exweb offers brokers more research tools

The Exchange has redesigned its Exweb portal for mortgage brokers and IFAs by adding a research centre to its offering.

Product databanks have been broadened to include more diverse information and easier access to provider’s product literature. An annuity quote service has also been added with more changes planned.

BDS and BM Solutions target high net worth market

Distributor and packager, BDS Mortgage Group, has launched a range of high net worth two-year discount trackers funded by BM Solutions.

Aimed at wealthy professionals, loan sizes range from £150,000 to £2 million, priced at base rate plus 0.85 per cent for the life of the loan.

The flexible range allows for payment holidays, overpayments, underpayments and a drawdown facility.

A&L adds online customer declaration

Alliance & Leicester has produced an online application system intended to speed up the mortgage application process for intermediaries.

The customer declaration is intended to cut out the paper-based application completely and is returned before completion.

A&L said it already receives 90 per cent of applications online.
