New American announces new sales manager

New American Funding has named Christine Eskina as sales manager. She will be based in the company's Temecula, Calif., branch.

Eskina brings 25 years of mortgage experience to the role, ranging from processing to underwriting. She was most recently a branch manager and senior loan officer with an independent lender, topping its originator rankings for three consecutive years. Earlier in her career, Eskina bought and managed rental homes and worked with investors to flip properties.

“I want to build a team of originators who share our goals,” she said. “It’s not so much all about recruiting. I try not to approach things as selling. Usually if you lead by example, people want to ask you questions about what you’re doing and where you work.”

Eskina said she was attracted to New American because it offers a wide range of marketing and technical supports for employees.  The family-owned company also has a “can-do attitude” and strong management, she said.

“I’m confident this partnership will equip me to take my book of business to the next level; now I have a wider selection of products and enhanced services to deliver customers and partners,” Eskina said. “I look forward to giving them a first-rate home buying experience, being able to follow through on promises and doing business the way it should be done.”

Trevor Eschrich, New American regional sales manager, said Eskina will be a valuable addition.

“She’s extremely sharp and her vast understanding of our industry will add tremendous value to our customers,” he said. “Not to mention, she has an authentic personality and sincere way of treating people, which are an excellent fit for our company culture.”

Headquartered in Tustin, Calif., New American has made Inc. 5000’s list of Fastest-Growing Companies in America five times. It has also been recognized by Fortune and Great Places to Work as one of the country’s top workplaces for diversity.
