BMO Harris Bank names head of US mortgage sales
BMO Harris Bank announced that it has appointed Chris Michalski head of US mortgage sales.

Michalski was previously regional president for retail banking in Wisconsin. BMO Harris Bank also said that it appointed Sang Kim to replace Michalski in that role.

In his new role, Michalski will lead more than 400 mortgage professionals across the US to drive mortgage growth across BMO’s branch footprint. He joined the bank in 2010 as market manager and had served as regional president for the Southeast Wisconsin region since 2015. Michalski will be based out of Chicago and will report to Emilio Cooper, head of sales and distribution for US retail banking.

"This is a great role for Chris, who has acquired a tremendous amount of knowledge across our business. He is passionate about our customers' financial desires, and will be a valuable mentor and leader to his fellow mortgage professionals," Cooper said.

Meanwhile, Kim will oversee about a network of about 200 locations that offer the bank’s retail banking, small business banking, and premier services across the state. He most recently served as regional president for the Wisconsin-Michigan region at another financial institution. Also reporting to Cooper, Kim will be based in Milwaukee.

"Sang's strong leadership skills, coupled with his diverse financial acumen, will help us drive an exceptional experience for our customers throughout Wisconsin," Cooper said. "I am excited to have him lead a talented team of professionals."
