Assetline becomes AltX Lending under major rebranding exercise

Specialist lender folds in bridging finance brand as brokers get a single entry point to the AltX Financial Group

Assetline becomes AltX Lending under major rebranding exercise

Non-bank lender Assetline Capital has officially rebranded as AltX Lending. Parent company AltX Financial Group has also folded its Clinch bridging finance brand into the new lending identity as part of a masterbrand overhaul.

Mortgage brokers will now deal with one brand for the group’s residential and commercial mortgages, private lending, development finance, bridging finance and equity release, while the group’s private credit business will sit alongside it as AltX Investments.

AltX was established in 2012, has originated more than $8 billion in loans and now manages more than $2.2 billion in assets. The rebrand follows the September 2026 pricing of its first residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) transaction, the $400 million Horizon 2026-1 Trust, as it looks to grow its long-term mortgage offering through brokers.

Nick Raphaely (pictured, top of page, left), co-founder and co-chief executive of AltX Financial Group, said the old brand architecture no longer matched the business.

“We’ve spent more than a decade building AltX into the business it is today. What began in specialist property finance has evolved into a substantial, integrated financial services group with deep expertise across lending, investment management and funding,” Raphaely said.

“Our brand needed to reflect that evolution. Today, we have an end-to-end financial services business serving brokers, borrowers, and wholesale and institutional investors. Bringing these interconnected capabilities together under one brand reflects the scale and breadth of what we’ve built.

“This is about more than a new identity. It’s about bringing the full strength of AltX together and ensuring the market sees the breadth of what we can deliver.”

What changes for mortgage brokers?

The most direct change for brokers is the absorption of Clinch.

Chief executive James Green (pictured, below) has led the bridging business since AltX expanded into consumer bridging loans with Clinch, targeting upsizers and downsizers who want to secure their next property before selling their current one. He was previously head of distribution at Volt Bank, and AltX formally integrated Clinch as a dedicated brand within its lending business in August 2025.

Under the new structure, brokers will find AltX’s bridging and equity release products under the same lending identity as its mortgage, private lending and development finance products.

Green said the change was designed to simplify how brokers reach the group’s specialists. “AltX Lending brings together the specialist expertise we’ve built across our lending businesses, giving brokers a clearer pathway to the right solutions for their clients.

“From residential and commercial mortgages to development finance and bridging, our dedicated specialists understand the complexities of each product and the scenarios brokers are working through.

“We’re building on the relationships brokers already know, with dedicated specialists working more closely across our lending teams to help brokers find solutions for more of their clients.”

AltX has dedicated sales and support teams in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

Private credit arm comes under the same roof

AltX Investments manages private credit investments for eligible wholesale and institutional investors. Lending, credit, investment management and funding now operate under one masterbrand, which the group says gives it a more connected platform.

Steven Beinart (pictured, top of page, right), co-founder and co-chief executive of AltX Financial Group, said the combination was the group’s key strength.

“We understand the needs of borrowers and brokers, we have deep expertise across specialist lending, and we’ve built established relationships with wholesale and institutional investors,” Beinart said.

“That breadth gives us the ability to respond to opportunities across different markets and client needs, supported by specialist teams and a diversified funding platform.

“Our unified identity reflects the scale and breadth of AltX today, while providing a stronger foundation to expand our capabilities and continue growing the Group.”

The rebrand puts a lender and a private credit manager under one name at a time when the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has stepped up its scrutiny of the private credit sector.
