Discount room rates available at the Fullerton Hotel Sydney for mortgage industry’s night of nights
Hotel rooms at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney are filling fast ahead of the 2026 Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs), so make sure to secure your discount rate at the official AMA registration page before the industry's night of nights on Friday, 16 October 2026.
With tables for the gala dinner nearly gone and just a handful of seats remaining, accommodation at the host venue is expected to follow suit.
Presented by Mortgage Professional Australia and AustralianBroker, the ‘Oscars of the broking industry’ will open with networking drinks ahead of the formal awards program and a three-course dinner, with entertainment from Australian singer and actress Kate Ceberano, DJ Em on the decks, and TV presenter Andrew Daddo serving as master of ceremonies.
Westpac returns as official event partner this year, with Brighten and Liberty Financial as premium award partners – all of whom will have a presence on the night alongside the judging panel, which includes Helen Avis of Specialist Mortgage, Cory Bannister of La Trobe Financial, Adam Brown of NAB, and Anja Pannek, chief executive of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).
Sponsor Q&A: Sarah Willsallen, Westpac Group
Westpac Group returns as official event partner for its eighteenth year. Sarah Willsallen (pictured left, presenting award to 2025 Australian Broker of the Year Katie Thomas), head of broker distribution at Westpac Group, says the night remains one of the standout fixtures on the industry calendar.
How are these awards nights a great opportunity to promote your mortgage experts and get their names out there?
"The AMAs shine a spotlight on the people raising the bar for our industry every day. Being recognised by your peers is incredibly powerful and these awards help showcase the talent, expertise and dedication that drive great customer outcomes."
What do you expect will be the big industry talking points at this year's AMAs?
"I expect we'll be talking about how we go after growth, deepen customer relationships and continue adding value throughout the home ownership journey, while embracing innovation and adapting to changing customer needs. Above all, we'll be celebrating an industry that continues to deliver outstanding outcomes for Australians."
Why are awards nights like the AMAs important for the broking community?
"These bring the broking community together, celebrate excellence, and highlight the important role brokers play in helping Australians achieve their home ownership goals. While there's a competitive spirit, there's also a genuine sense of support and camaraderie, and I reckon that's one of the things that makes our industry so strong."
What do you enjoy most about the night of the AMAs and being our official event partner?
"This is our eighteenth year as event partner and we're incredibly proud to support a night dedicated to recognising the very best in broking. Seeing finalists and winners celebrated by their peers and sharing in the pride of what our industry achieves together is definitely the highlight for me."
What have been the highlights for Westpac's broker channel over the past 12 months, and what can we expect next?
"We've continued to invest in the things brokers value most, strengthening partnerships, enhancing our capabilities and making it easier to do business with us. A key focus has been supporting self-employed Australians, first home buyers and property investors, helping brokers deliver great outcomes for a broad range of customers. Looking ahead, we'll continue evolving our proposition and investing in our broker partners to help more Australians achieve their property goals."
