Stonebridge boosts staff

Over the past 12 months the business has seen a 40% increase in employed staff. The compliance and support team has grown by 11 employees over the last year and Stonebridge has current vacancies for staff in its credit control and software development departments.

Richard Adams, managing director of Stonebridge Group, said: “The move to the new office is a significant moment for Stonebridge and marks the next step in our development. We have been established for over 25 years and during that time have put in place strong foundations for the company which we are now building upon.

"Our growth in the last 12 months has been particularly pleasing and with the number of AR firms and advisers under our umbrella continuing to increase we have needed to bolster the head office team in order to support their activities. A huge focus for us is compliance and support which has meant concerted and ongoing recruitment in this area.

"The new office fulfills our needs now and allows us to expand the operation in the future given that we have ambitious plans for growth in the months and years ahead. The staff are excited about working within the new premises and we look forward to welcoming all Stonebridge stakeholders to our new offices in due course.”

The latest independent review of network numbers for quarter two 2014 showed Stonebridge had added 24 adviser ARs, an increase of 15% over the previous quarter.

Stonebridge’s most recent results for quarter two 2014 show an increase in overall group income up 45% on the same period in 2013.

Mortgage volumes were double that of quarter two 2013 and Stonebridge now anticipates hitting the £2bn mark for total placed mortgage business in 2014. Protection volumes also rose strongly with business growing 48% in the first half of 2014 compared to the first six months of last year.
