Platform announces recruitment drive

The move, which will involve the recruitment of a key account manager and an additional six business development managers (BDMs) follows the launch of a number of initiatives in 2006 which have substantially grown business volumes.

The recruitment process, which will take place over the next two months, will ensure a more concentrated sales presence across nearly all regions of the UK, giving intermediaries better and more regular access to Platform’s BDMs than ever before. Platform will also be expanding its corporate accounts team, headed by corporate relationship manager Paul Isaacs in recognition of the vital role that companies such as Legal & General, Premier Mortgage Services and Openwork, among others, play in today’s intermediary mortgage market.

Richard Beardshaw, head of sales at Platform, said: “Platform’s business volumes have increased dramatically over the past year and we are keen to maintain this success in an increasingly competitive marketplace. We recognise the value that BDMs provide to the intermediaries that they service and to us as a lender, hence our decision to increase the size of our sales team. Such a move further demonstrates our commitment to our intermediary partners and it will not only allow us to further grow business volumes but will enable us to support the overall strategy of the business going forward.”
