Mortgage specialist creates 45 jobs

It aims to originate £1.5 billion of mortgage sales by the end of 2005.

Opportunities available within PMN include:

- Compliance auditors: PMN is creating a new in-house team of regulatory experts whose job it is to ensure the company, and its business partners, comply with stringent rules issued by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) that come into force on 31 October 2004. At least 10 new jobs in this key area have been created. PMN would like all of the positions to be filled by 31 October.

- Mortgage underwriters: PMN, and its sister company IMB, need to recruit experienced underwriters who are well versed in the products and procedures of high street and specialist lending. At least 15 new jobs in this key area will have been created. At least seven of the positions need to be filled immediately.

- Mortgage processors: PMN and IMB also require additional help in processing mortgage applications. A further 15 jobs will be created in this area of PMN’s business, with the vast majority coming online within the next three months.

- CeMAP qualified mortgage consultants: PMN, and sister company Status Solutions, are strengthening their public-facing sales force and five full-time vacancies now exist for salesmen with proven track records.

“We are looking to attract quality people in a number of key positions,” commented PMN managing director Dale Knight. “PMN, and its sister companies, have made a major contribution to the mortgage industry and, as a consequence, we need to find mortgage professionals who are capable of helping us continue to make a major impression on the industry we serve.

“Our recruitment offensive is now underway. We have a strong identity within the mortgage industry – at local and national levels – and I am very confident that we will be able to find quality financial services experts that we are seeking a major new professional challenge.”

The recruitment offensive coincides with PMN’s decision to relocate its business to a prime site within Leicestershire. The company hopes to have found new premises within three to six months.

“There’s going to be a lot of work involved in building PMN into the corporate animal we want it to be,” added Dale Knight. “By staffing up – and recruiting the right calibre of people – we have a major opportunity to hit the targets we have set ourselves and build a wonderful working environment that will stimulate all members of staff.

“Relocating to new headquarters will be a major stepping stone for the business. While there is a lot of work involved in recruiting 45 new members of staff and finding a new home at the same time, I am confident this can be achieved with the minimum of fuss and disruption.”
