MFS announces 16 internal promotions and is hiring more

Market Financial Solutions (MFS) has made 16 internal promotions over recent months, and is actively hiring across 11 new roles.

The lender said Scott Lord, Richard D’Souza, and Omkar Hushing have all been promoted from their underwriting manager positions. Lord is now head of bridging underwriting for direct brokers and clients, while D’Souza and Hushing is now head of bridging underwriting for business development and networks, and head of buy-to-let and specialist lending underwriting respectively.

In addition, Zahira Fayyaz, regional sales manager for the South East, and Paul Ratcliffe, regional sales manager for the North, have been promoted from their business development manager roles.  They will work alongside Imogen Williams, regional sales manager for the South West.

The specialist lender has grown significantly over the past two years, with £1 billion currently available in funding and a target loan book of £1.5 billion by the end of this year. It has doubled its employee headcount since the start of 2022, with more than 100 employees now on the team.

As part of this expansion, Maria Gilbert has been promoted to chief of staff to manage the increased headcount of MFS, which received The Blacks Solicitors Award for Bridging Lender of the Year in the Mortgage Introducer Awards 2022.

London-based MFS is also currently looking to hire three senior underwriters, three underwriters, two junior underwriters and two assistant underwriters, as well as two business development executives.

“As a lender, you naturally work to ensure your products are as competitive as possible, and you invest in technology and processes to ensure a streamlined service,” Paresh Raja, chief executive at Market Financial Solutions, commented. “But there’s no substitute for great people – so, we’re delighted to share the news of some MFS employees moving up the ranks over recent months.

“We always prioritise professional development, promoting from within whenever possible. We seek out problem solvers; people ready to take an extra step to make a deal happen and deliver an exceptional service for clients, even when challenges arise or other lenders may turn away.

“Our success and growth over recent years comes down to the hard work of our great team. I look forward to supporting more people in their development within the specialist finance sector and helping them to climb the ladder within our ever-growing team.”
