Leeds Building Society promotes broker relations specialist

Leeds Building Society has promoted James O’Reilly to the role of head of intermediary partnerships, responsible for the delivery of the corporate accounts and broker strategy for intermediary partners.

O’Reilly (pictured) joined the mutual in 2015 as a corporate account manager and was promoted to head of corporate accounts in 2018.

His latest promotion will see him stepping up to manage the building society’s corporate account team and field-based business development function. Prior to joining the Leeds, he was an account and project manager at Legal & General and Lloyds Banking Group.

In his new role, O’Reilly is expected to deliver the intermediary business plan to help the society’s broker partners secure the best mortgages for customers.

“It is a pleasure to be able to offer James this new role,” remarked Martese Carton, director of mortgage distribution at Leeds Building Society. “During his time at the society, James’ drive and enthusiasm has been infectious among the team, and he has delivered brilliant results for the business, our intermediary partners, and for the customer. James is a highly engaged and versatile leader and is well-deserving of this promotion.”

Commenting on his promotion, O’Reilly said he was excited to work collaboratively with broker teams to continue to deliver results for the building society.

“Throughout my time at Leeds Building Society, I have loved being able to work with teams towards our purpose of putting home ownership within reach of more people,” he added.
