Commercial First expands sales team

Commercial First has announced plans for a major expansion of its sales and marketing activity, including the recruitment of twelve new staff. Recruitment is underway for a business development team of 8 BDMs to support the regional sales managers currently in place. The lender is also recruiting two national training managers to provide dedicated on site training and processing support for its intermediaries. Two marketing executives are being recruited to Commercial First’s marketing team so that it can expand its ability to provide project managed marketing solutions for its key intermediaries. The lender is also planning an enhanced product range in the near future.

Stephen Johnson, sales and marketing director at Commercial First explains: “We are investing in the added service we provide to our key intermediaries and brokers as part of the overall Commercial First package. The extra BDM resource is being brought on board to help support local brokers and also our key partners. In the latter capacity they will be made available to act for the key partner in the delivery of the sales message to their distribution. The national trainers will be tasked with taking the best practice of our top intermediaries and helping other intermediaries increase their efficiency and speed of process. Our marketing team is forging new ground in the industry and becoming in part consultants to our intermediaries in helping them deliver marketing plans around our product and the commercial mortgage message in general.

“Commercial First’s Marketing Tool Box broke new ground in offering expert marketing support to our key intermediaries. We have delivered over 500 bespoke campaigns and have seen some fantastic results. We are therefore keen to extend this service. Our growth plans are very ambitious and we want to ensure that the Commercial First service remains market leading.”
